Description

The Surveillance Operator shall observe all activities of guest and casino staff on the property via the closed circuit television system for criminal activity and/or violations of Company policies and procedures, and report suspicious and inappropriate behavior accordingly.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the rules and regulations set forth by the Gaming Boards regarding the operation of the CCTV surveillance systems are adhere to.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the guidelines set forth by the company are adhered to.
  • By way of the CCTV system, Surveillance Operators maintain constant camera patrol of the casino covertly observe, interpret and report on all activities on the casino floor in support areas including but not necessarily limited to: all casino table games and pits, slots, cashier cage, count room and exterior perimeter of the property.
  • Monitoring will be done to identifying the following:
    - Cheating or stealing by player and employees acting alone or in concert with one another.
    - Failure of employees to follow proper procedures.
    - The treatment of drop boxes, cash storage boxes and other gaming equipment (eg. Cards, dice, dealing shoes, etc.)
    - Treatment of ill, drunk or disorderly persons evicted and detained or arrested persons and persons and suspected casino cheats.
    - All movement of cash or chips on the premises.
  • Will take the responsibility for the directing operation in the monitor room in any given situation in the absence of supervision but must notify management in a timely fashion.
  • Will develop a broad working knowledge of the company accounting and internal controls and rules governing the conduct of all table games, slots and cage operations as well as all operations within the casino.

Qualifications:

  • Qualifications include:
    - Education: High School or Equivalency
    - Specialized knowledgeMinimum of 1 year casino experience
    - Skills: MS Office Proficiency / Computer skills
    - Language(s) Skills: Fluent English written and spoken
    - Certifications: Valid Gaming Board License
    - Other Requirements: Skilled in 2 casino table games or 1 year of casino surveillance
    - Moral Requirements: High morals and with a confidential personality

Working Conditions

  • The job will require an operator to sit in a confined monitor room without windows for an extended time, concentrating on several monitors at any given time. The operator will be required to proficiently operate a CCTV system, handheld radios, telephones and several different computer systems. He /she will be scheduled to work days, nights, weekend and holiday if business warrants.

Physical Requirements

  • hysical demands of this position require an operator to sit and concentrate on the entire casino operation with the ability to observe record and report actives in clear concise and complete in a verbal and written fashion.
