Reporting to: Master and Ch. Officer
Objective: To carry out watch-keeping and deck operational duties, as directed by the Master/Ch. Officer, designed to contribute to safe economical vessel operation in compliance with Company's, national and international regulations.
Responsibilities:
The Deck Officer is responsible for:

Assisting the Navigation officer in maintaining navigational publications up to date, as instructed by the Master.
Carrying out inspections, under the direction of the Ch. Officer in order to check and replace safety equipment, where necessary.
Supervising, under direction of the Master, deck crew activities e.g. mooring, stores receiving.
Carrying out watch-keeping duties and taking appropriate actions in conformity with all relevant regulations and operational needs.
Carrying out ad hoc assignments from the Ch. Officer designed to develop experience in the job and potential for developments.
Checking that all duties and responsibilities described in the Internal Service Regulation are being followed.
Following all duties which are described in Master's standing orders.
Keeping the deck inventory up to date.
Assisting in the ISM documentation.
Following company's circulars.

Minimum of year(s) previous work experience required
shipboard exprerience not required.
Basic STCW Certificates not required.
Prefered gender -
No seaman discharge book needed
